Whinray Ecological Charitable Trust
Work alongside DOC to protect a range of endangered species within the Whinray Scenic Reserve and the greater Motu Valley Area. Over 17 rare and endangered species live in the area including brown kiwi, blue duck, falcon, kaka, weka and long tailed bats. We run a kiwi chick crèche, provide conservation education resources for visitors and manage trap lines to control stoats, ferrets, possums and cats.
