Ruatoria Community Response

Ruatoria quickly became the central hub for support, service and distribution to other towns and communities through the Cyclone Gabrielle response. The large volume of contributions to Ngati Porou arrived in Ruatoria for processing and distribution by the Ruatoria CDEM team. This is reflected in the action record and total value of actions.

Ruatoria have the biggest team of readily available volunteers and a wide range of skills and connections which are used to support and coordinate on behalf of all Ngati Porou communities.
